1. Department Administrative investigations conducted by the Dallas Police and the City of Dallas or its appointed boards and commissions.

2. The administrative appeal of any disciplinary action or any department action which may lead to disciplinary action.

3. Legal defense through the date of indictment or information in criminal cases of alleged misconduct, which arise out of the performance of the member's sworn police functions or which allege acts of misconduct during the member's shift of duty.

4. Legal defense through trial in the criminal prosecution of alleged acts of misconduct involving the use of force or the use of a motor vehicle arising out of the performance of the member's sworn police functions.

5. Up to four (4) hours of legal assistance as a result of Dallas Police Department criminal investigations involving criminal allegations that do not arise out of the performance of the member's sworn police fuctions

6. Legal advice to a deceased member's immediate survivors relating to benefits available under federal, state, or local law in cases resulting from the death arising out of the performance of the members sworn police functions.

7. Worker's compensation matters which, in the opinion of DPA legal counsel, necessitates the use of an attorney.

8. Personnel grievances.

9. One hour of legal advice relating to any job related matter.
