Request for Legal Assistance
All requests for legal assistance will be reviewed for the reasonableness of legal expenses for which the assistance is sought and the Board of Directors reserves the right to reject all or part of the assistance request if it deems the amount requested. It is not the intent of these guidelines to provide assistance where sufficient assistance has been provided by an individual or organization or other legal plan. Legal assistance may be denied or offset by sums paid by other labor organizations, legal defense funds, or individual donations from non-family members.
